⚗️ Ways of Alchemy – For Zoning Out and Getting Into Flow

Genre: Alchemy Sim | Developer: RocketBrush Games | Release Date: 2025

Ways of Alchemy screenshot depicting a lot of cards, developed by RocketBrush Studio
All cards are hand-drawn and match a unique medieval style.

Ways of Alchemy may seem to be a simple card game at first. But as soon as you start playing it, you slowly realize: it’s actually pretty complex, has a rich story and – above all – feels like one of the best relaxing games on PC.

There are potions to brew, characters to meet, adventures to send hired hands to – a lot of activities to participate in. The main goal is the goal of every alchemist – to discover the secret of the philosopher’s stone.

Simple yet engaging gameplay, relaxing ambience, beautiful artwork – when it comes to a chill and zen-like state, Ways of Alchemy manages to do it pretty simply and effectively.

Key features:

  • Slow alchemy lab for your brain: A unique take on alchemy, inspired by alchemic shenanigans of the past. If you ever wanted to brew potions, collect ingredients and discover the philosopher’s stone’s secrets – that’s certainly a game for you.
  • There’s a pause button!: Even though the initial gameplay process may seem complex and punishing, it’s actually pretty lenient: you can always pause the game and take a closer look at the wonderful visual style, plan your directions ahead, fiddle around with cards etc.
  • Gorgeous, striking visuals: A lot of players who tried the demo were genuinely impressed the visual style: it’s vivid, very medieval-like and overall matches the playful-but-dangerous tone of the game.
  • Tons of content: A lot of books, artifacts, potions and adventures at your disposal. In addition, there are about 13 endings, and your choices during the playthrough will define the ending you’re going to get – perfect for regular playing sessions to see what else you can do in this curious world.

Designed by the art director of Journey, another great chill game, ABZÛ is an underwater exploration game with serene visuals and a very soothing soundtrack.

Altogether, it’s a short but sweet game that allows you to navigate through the waters, find eye-catching points of interest and soak in this beautiful atmosphere. It never gets too difficult or too challenging and a great choice for a game for a couple of relaxing evenings.

Another valuable aspect of ABZǓ’s chill is how meditative this game can be. Even though you can beat it once, you may as well boot it up when it all gets too bright and loud to settle down and remember how peaceful and relaxing things can be.

Key features:

  • Slight puzzle elements: To keep you engaged, some occasional puzzles are quick and do not overstay their welcome. They are perfect for a little change of pace and do not feel like a burden.
  • Navigate the ocean: If you always wanted to be a sea creature for a day, ABZǓ is certainly a game for you! Feel free to swim around and see what strikes you as interesting, and then go and explore it! Very few games actually manage to provide you with this opportunity, considering how tempting it is.
  • Striking visuals & audio: A lot of players praise stylized 3D visuals and dynamic sound design, and we couldn’t agree more, its fusion creates an immersive, calming experience that makes you feel at peace.

Do not underestimate the power of gorgeous visuals. If you need help with art direction for your game, reach us at sales@rocketbrush.com with your project details and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Key Features:

  • Elegant chaos, gently unfolding: Draw lines, move trains and keep a city flowing. Then redesign, rebalance and try again.
  • Minimalist, but never minimal: The design is clean and crisp, but the systems underneath grow deep. The longer you last, the more your decisions matter.
  • Endlessly replayable: Every game is different thanks to randomized station spawns, passenger demands and the constant ticking challenge of keeping it all running smoothly.

With great chill comes a great understanding of how in-game principles work. And after some relaxing sessions you start to see the real world completely different – no spoilers, though!

Key features:

  • Gorgeous visuals: Beautiful saturated colors, unique biomes, captivating details and even some puzzles which are a part of visuals!
  • Relaxing ambience: Nice, serene audio design puts you at ease and allows you to focus on game tasks and relax simultaneously.
